Outside of the Wine Region
In 2025, the World Expo will be held in Osaka, Japan, where Wines of Hungary will be proudly presenting the best of Hungarian winemaking at the Hungarian Pavilion.
From June 4 to 7, Wines of Hungary will host a series of thematic programs over four days, welcoming influential Japanese wine traders and experts from the fields of wine trade, hospitality, media, and tourism.
The goal of these events is to promote Hungarian wine and wine culture on the Japanese market through engaging roundtable discussions, tastings, and professional presentations — with a strong emphasis on education and building partnerships.
The event series will include the following programs:
June 4 | 17:00–20:30 – Roundtable and Wine Tasting
Three outstanding Hungarian female winemakers, along with representatives of the SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards, discuss the impact of women winemakers on the wine world.
June 5 | 10:00–16:15 – HoReCa Day
Tastings, presentations, and networking opportunities with importers, tailored for HoReCa professionals, including sommeliers.
June 6 | 10:00–15:45 – Wine Trade Day
A dedicated day for wine traders, featuring tastings, expert talks, and importer meetings.
June 7 | 10:00–16:15 – Wine Tourism & Media Day
Tastings and presentations designed for wine tourism professionals, media representatives, and influencers.
