The H-squared Cellars are a small family operation on the foothills of the Mátra mountains centered in the village of Nagyréde. The Horváth family had vineyards in the area since the late 70s in the last century, and the bulk of the grapes were processed by the local cooperative, however there was always wine made in the family cellar too. The methods of winemaking were handed down from father to son. The Horváth Brothers came to realize the potential of the vineyards and started to make bottled wines from 2011. Taking over the vineyards, quality was in focus, instead of producing quantity, and slowly the cultivation methods were changed to organic in all the vineyards. In the cellar, winemaking methods follow the traditional low intervention methods of the ancestors, with some additional spin coming from the engineering education of the brothers.
