Located in the Tokaj wine region, the Patricius Wine House was born out of the Kékessy family's passion for the past and for the future. The owners are Dezső Kékessy and his daughter Katinka Kékessy. The family's ancestors on both the paternal and maternal side have been vineyard owners in the Mátra Valley and Tokaj-Hegyalja since the 18th century. The centre of the 85-hectare estate, which combines the richness of 8 historic first-class vineyards, was built in Bodrogkisfalud, in the Várhegy vineyard, by converting the manorial press house, which was also featured in the Tokaj-Hegyalja Album of 1867, and is now joined by a modern gravity-flow winery built in organic style, perfectly reflecting the coexistence of tradition and modernity in the World Heritage landscape.
