The event series will take place at the Hungarian Pavilion on Yumeshima Island, the site of the Osaka Expo, and will also include a roundtable discussion hosted at the so-called Women’s Pavilion. At the beginning of June, the organizers will welcome representatives from various sectors on themed days that have attracted such strong interest that all slots are fully booked weeks before the event.
The program will kick off on June 4 with a day dedicated to the theme women in the world of wine. The opening event, a roundtable discussion at the Women’s Pavilion, will bring together three outstanding Hungarian female winemakers and representatives of the renowned Japanese "SAKURA" Japan Women’s Wine Awards. The conversation will focus on the future of winemaking and the prominent role of women in the industry — followed, of course, by a Hungarian wine tasting at the Hungarian Pavilion.
On June 5, the spotlight turns to the HoReCa sector. On this day, sommeliers, restaurant managers, food and beverage managers, and other hospitality professionals will be offered targeted programs. Themed tastings and tailored professional events aim to promote the presence of high-quality Hungarian wines throughout Japan's hospitality industry.
June 6 will be dedicated to wine trade, providing an exclusive opportunity for importers and distributors to build business relationships. Professional presentations and B2B meetings will support the market entry of Hungarian wines and the launch of new collaborations in the Japanese market.
The final day, June 7, will focus on wine tourism and the media. Journalists and representatives of the travel sector will be invited to discover the complex experiences Hungary offers as a wine destination — not only through excellent wines but also through stunning landscapes, local gastronomy, and authentic hospitality.
Hungary's participation in the Osaka World Expo is not only a prestigious presence but also a genuine business and communication opportunity. The goal is clear: to strengthen the position of Hungarian wines in the Japanese market over the long term — whether through gastronomic partnerships, commercial collaborations, or the promotion of wine tourism in the Far East.
