Wines of Hungary will officially kick-off their annual Korea promotional campaign on October 25 by hosting an exclusive tasting event for key trade, media and influencers at La Casa Hotel in Seoul. This will set the scene for the following week’s intensive spotlight on Hungarian wines at DIWE.
During the Wine Trade Show from November 1-3, Wines of Hungary will showcase an impressive 162-square-meter stand, hosting 27 Hungarian wineries. These exhibitors will present a diverse range of wines from multiple wine regions, offering Korean wine professionals and consumers a unique chance to connect directly with Hungarian winemakers, explore new opportunities and taste Hungarian wines. Visitors will enjoy three pop-up tastings, featuring Hungary’s signature Furmint and Aszú wines, as well as an introduction to Hungary’s distinctive grape varieties. There will also be a Bubbly Pop-Up, spotlighting sparkling wines and pét-nats, and a Botrytis Bar, dedicated to tasting Hungary’s iconic wines.
As part of the expo, Wines of Hungary will also support the Hungarian Wine Sommelier Contest on November 3, aimed at educating sommeliers about the country’s wines and raising awareness of their exceptional quality.
Finally, representatives from Wines of Hungary will serve as judges at the Asia Wine Trophy, the only OIV wine competition in Asia, from October 27-30, further boosting Hungary’s visibility and credibility on the international wine stage. Partnering up with Nimbility Asia, participation at DIWE is a key cornerstone of Wines of Hungary’s marketing campaign in South Korea.
