The three-part video series presents the unmissable sights of the Etyek-Buda, Villány and Eger wine districts, through the lens of wine, of course, since winemaking has been an essential part of the culture and identity of these three regions for many decades.
Besides tasting sparkling wine in the Etyek-Buda wine district, you can also accompany the guys virtually on a bike ride and a horse-drawn carriage ride. Naturally they will also visit the Korda Studio in Etyek, which not only produces films, but also grows its own grapes.
The Villány wine district is dominated by red wine, but Barna and Márkó will also be tasting rosé and semi-sparkling wines there. As well as tasting wine, they’ll also enjoy some yoga and hiking, after which they will relax with some pampering vinotherapy, while in Palkonya they will also try to learn the ins and outs of the art of cooking.
Finally, they will head to the north-east of the country to discover Egri Bikavér and Egri Csillag. Of course, there are also many adventurous destinations to discover, from cave dwellings in Egerszalók to glamping and buildings from the Turkish era.
We’re not forgetting the other Hungarian wine districts in our campaign either, so although we don’t have time to cover the entire country in the company of Márkó and Barna, we have gathered each region’s most important attractions, among which even the most avid cross-country travellers will find some new ideas. Of course, besides the tourist destinations, we have also chosen a selection of unmissable wineries, which are partnering the campaign with wine tasting, cellar visits and vineyard tours for wine lovers. Although the summer has come to an abrupt end, the festival season is still in full swing, with the only difference being that now the focus is on wine as well as music events. Szeged, Mór and Pécs, among others, are also worth visiting if you are looking for several days of music and culture accompanied by the most delicious local wines. In addition to the multi-part wine tourism guides, you can also browse the detailed wine district and varietal descriptions on winesofhungary.hu, as well as one, two and three-day itineraries, broken down by wine district.
