In the lead-up to the upcoming ProWein Düsseldorf wine trade fair, the Hungarian Wine Marketing Agency (MBÜ) has launched a large-scale media campaign in Germany to further enhance the recognition and reputation of Hungarian wines.
As part of this campaign, Hungarian wines have been featured in two prominent publications: the Weinwirtschaft trade magazine, published by Meininger, and its English-language counterpart, Meininger International online magazine.
Weinwirtschaft: Focus on the Trade
Weinwirtschaft published a six-page German-language article aimed primarily at wine merchants and industry professionals. The article provides a comprehensive overview of Hungary’s wine culture, introducing the country’s key wine regions, grape varieties, and wine styles. Special attention is also given to wine tourism opportunities, as the goal is to familiarize German professionals with Hungary’s wine regions as exciting and promising travel destinations.
A dedicated section of the article highlights the presence of the Wines of Hungary brand at ProWein Düsseldorf, one of the world’s most significant wine trade fairs, where Hungarian wines have been enjoying increasing success year after year.
Weinwirtschaft is available not only in Germany but also in Austria and Switzerland, ensuring broad exposure for Hungarian wines across German-speaking regions. With a circulation of 7,000 copies, the magazine effectively reaches its professional audience.
Meininger International: Targeting Consumers
Meininger International has also published an English-language online article on Hungarian wines, emphasizing their diversity and uniqueness while showcasing the characteristics of different wine regions and the most important wine varieties.
As one of the most respected online wine trade magazines not only in Germany but also globally, Meininger International significantly contributes to raising awareness of Hungarian wines on an international level.
