Already in 2002, I took my share of the work at the first vineyard, helping my parents. After my studies, in 2011 I further gathered my winemaking experience in a wine region in southern Italy. I learned modern winemaking technologies and the need for high quality from my mother. It soon became clear to me that I could make great use of my exceptional sense of smell as both a winemaker and a wine judge. After nearly ten years, I decided, in addition to running the Szeleshát Estate, to return to the basics to make hand crafted wines. I rediscovered sustainable viticulture, working with simple winemaking tools, which I have long missed. I have been a dedicated athlete since I was a child, a marathon runner. I named my first wine "Marathon," which is a 2018 Merlot Premium parcell selection.
