About the Lavender Cellar and its wines… Our winery is located at the top of Kishegy in Lovasi, it started operating in 2005 in one of the most beautiful places on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, with a wonderful panorama of the Tihany Peninsula to the shores of Alsóörs. As our name reflects to, the roof of the cellar and its surroundings are planted with lavender from which we make essential oil. Our cellar was made of natural stone in 2005. We have a storage capacity of almost 450 hl. We belong to the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region, where cultivate 3.2 hectares. The soil of our plantations is red clay with high iron content, which the grapes like very much. Our vineyards are located in the areas around the cellar, located south-southwest, so they receive double sunlight as Lake Balaton reflects the sun's rays. Our white wines are made by a reductive process, our red wines by traditional oxidative technology.
