Our family winery is located in the immediate vicinity of the triple border of Hungary (with Austria and Slovenia), in a settlement called Csörnyeföld, on Kövecs Hill. It was founded in 1989 by our father, Dr. László Bussay. Thanks to his devotion and hard work and the help of our mother, dr. Ágnes Ratkovics, our family contributed to putting Zala county back on the wine map of Hungary. After our father deceased in 2014, we (his daughters, Dóri and Bianka) took over the winery. With strict yield limit on our 5.5-acre self-planted plantation, we can produce a bottle of wine from one vine. Our principle is to get the best quality grapes into the cellar and gain perfect juice from the fruit. Our wines are extremely concentrated, full-bodied even in weaker vintages, with beautiful acid structures. We strive to let the wines develop naturally in oak barrels. We produce exclusively for bottling. For us, winemaking is a profession which enables us to create added value in a traditional form. We believe that a good glass of wine is a the best way to creat connections through people.
