LÉGLI ESTATE AND WINERY – BALATONBOGLÁR The Légli Winery was founded in 1989 by Ottó Légli building on an inheritance of only half a hectare of vines. Today the family-owned estate cultivates 33 hectares. Most of Légli’s vineyards are situated at altitudes of 160 to 250 meters above sea level in the wine communes of Balatonboglár, Szőlősgyörök, and Gyugy. Our main varieties are Welsh Riesling, Rhine Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Furmint, Pinot Noir. Ottó Légli’s winery produces primarily white wines, with the exception of one rose, the full spectrum of whites from refreshing, fruity lights to full bodied creamy wines. Légli vineyards occupy slopes of the Somogy Hills near the southern shore of Lake Balaton in the heart of the official Balatonboglár Wine District. Endowed with diverse terrains, our warm and sheltered vineyards have soils rich in lime and clay — ideal conditions for producing wines that are ripe, full-flavored and harmonious.
