Kesztölc is the easternmost bastion of the Neszmély Wine Region, and also one of the most exciting production areas. The Kétágú Hill, which rises above the village, is already part of Pilis, its calcareous, more compacted soil, combined with the mountain's amphitheater-like shape and southern exposure, is an ideal production area for many varieties, of which the Zöldveltelini (Grüner Veltliner) stands out. This potential is shown by the ZéVé trilogy, which is actually a “variation on a theme” of the cellar: one of a kind, three terraces of different heights, and three processing modes. Our plantations are located at an altitude of 240-350 m above sea level. We cultivate our vineyards completely organically, of which 3.5 ha have now been converted into organic plantations, which are controlled by Biokontroll Hungária. Being a family winery, the whole family takes their share of the work. We try to subordinate our wines to the place of production, the Pilis Mountains, and reflect the terroir in these. We keep all our wines on lees but there are also some wines which we mature in barrels. To sum it up: Kesztölc is a fascinating settlement that must be seen and tasted!
